10 ways to care for your body

I cant emphasize enough how important it is to take care our bodies.

When I look at body care, I see it from the INSIDE OUT. How does my body feel inside, how are my joints moving, how weak or strong do my muscles feel, how out of breath do I feel with one flight of stairs, how often do I poop! yup! I do think of it. and you should too!

Here are 10 things I strongly believe we should all do to do our part on keeping our body healthy and moving.

  1. Get enough sleep. I feel like I need 7-8 hours in order for me to feel great the next day.
  2. Move your body daily.
  3. Hydrate, drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.
  4. Nourish your body with the nutrients your body needs. Try the 80/20 method. Eat healthy, nutrient dense whole foods 80 percent of the time and the other 20 indulge in your favorite cheat meals.
  5. Take some time for a mental break, do some breathing exercises and just clear your mind.
  6. Take your vitamins, if you haven’t been told from your MD that you are deficient on a certain vitamin, make sure you are at least taking a multi-vitamin on a daily basis. I currently am on a Multi Vitamin from 1upNutriton and an additional dose of Vitamin D, doctors orders
  7. Take your medications!!!!! If you are on any medications for any health related issues, keep up with them.
  8. Keep up with your health! Visit the doctor for your annual physicals and for your routine check ups.
  9. Oral health is important too! Brush daily and visit the dentist regularly, you have no idea how much oral health can domino effect to the rest of your body’s wellbeing.
  10. REST. Listen to your body, when it feels tired, rest!
